一、护照

Passport

应当随身携带护照并妥善保管。

Should carry your passport with you at all times and keep it safe.

配合警方进行查验。

Comply with police inspections.

如发现护照丢失，应到遗失地出入境管理部门办理护照报失证明，之后到本国使领馆办理新护照，最后到出入境管理部门补办签证。

If you discover that your passport is lost, you should go to the local entry-exit administration to obtain a passport loss certificate. Then, proceed to your country's embassy or consulate to apply for a new passport, and finally, go to the entry-exit administration department to reapply for a visa.

二、住宿登记

Registration of Temporary Residence

外国人在旅馆以外的其他住所居住或者住宿的，应当在入住后 二十四小时内由本人或者留宿人，向居住地的公安机关办理登记。

For foreigners who reside or stay in domiciles other than hotels, they or the persons who accommodate them shall, within 24 hours after arrival, go through the registration formalities with the local police station in the places of residence.

三、签证

Visa

外国留学生一般应持普通护照和X1（长期）或X2（短期）签证来华学习。

Foreign students usually study in China with common passport and X1 visa or X2 visa.

持X1（学习）签证者须在入境后 三十日内到出入境管理部门申请办理学习类居留许可。

For X1 visa holders shall, within 30 daysfrom the date of their entry, apply for study residence permits in entry-exit administration department.

学习类居留许可加注实习：

Apply for the remark for off-campus internship on study residence permits:

（1）所在院校留学生管理部门出具的同意参与校外实习的意见函（函件应为中文），应注明实习为教学培养方案内容、具体实习单位或企业的全称、实习期限及实习内容。

Certification letter (in Chinese) on approval of the off-campus internship by the college that the applicant is current studying in, stating that the internship is part of the teaching program, as well as the full name of the organization or enterprise for internship, term of internship and specific content.

（2）实习单位或企业出具同意实习的意见函（函件应为中文）或实习合同，应注明接收实习的留学生的基本信息、就读院校、实习时间及实习内容。

Certification letter (in Chinese) on receiving the applicant in internship or contract of internship, stating the personal information of the international students receiving the internship, name of the college that the applicant is current studying in, term of internship and specific content.

四、重要提醒

打架斗殴，破坏社会秩序的行为是违法的，将受到警方处理。

Engaging in fights and disrupting public order is illegal and will be dealt with by the police.

不要酒后驾车或滋事。

Do not drive or make trouble after drinking.

禁止非法买卖、运输、携带、持有、吸食、注射毒品！毒品，是指鸦片、海洛因、冰毒、吗啡、大麻、笑气、可卡因等能够使人形成瘾癖的麻醉药品和精神药品。

The smuggling, carrying or possession of illegal drugs is a felony. Drugs refer to Opium, Heroin, Methamphetamine, Morphine, Marijuana, Nitrous Oxide, Cocaine, and other narcotic and psychotropic substances that can make people addicted.

警惕各类形式的电信诈骗。

Be cautious of various forms of telecommunication fraud.
